The Forbidden Kingdom..

I just watched The Forbidden Kingdom at Cineleisure today.. me and baby had full anticipation with this movie.. cos it is the first movie starring both Jackie Chan and Jet Li together.. and it turns out to be really disappointing.. besides the usual fighting scenes that can be found in their existing movie and the graphics in this movie.. nothing else is good anymore.. the storyline sucks so badly.. and the funniest thing is all of the characters were dressed up like the Ching Dynasty era.. but they speak and communicate in English in this movie.. I know they wanna push this movie further.. but I rather that they till speak in Mandarin or Cantonese and have English subtitles instead.. not to say both J's speak very fluent English..

Mainly the story is based on The Monkey God.. but somehow and some of the parts felt more like The Lord Of The Rings.. or perhaps Harry Potter.. or even Ju On.. haha.. the Ju On part is when the white hair lady starts to pull and climb on her on hair when she fell of the cliff.. I just cannot start laughing and laughing throughout the whole movie.. Anyhow, this is not a must watch movie.. but to watch it just for the sake of the two J's then go ahead.. but watch it like I did today.. choose to watch on the Wednesday.. only RM6.. cheap cheap.. at least I don't have to pay RM10 or more for this.. just not worthy..

Aunt Melanie's Birthday Celebration at Seoul Garden..

On Sunday, me and my family went to the Seoul Garden at 1 Utama to celebrate Aunt Melanie's belated birthday.. Seoul Garden is located at the same row as Wong Kok Restaurant (which is opposite Watson).. Once you pass by the Wong Kok Restaurant, you will see a small shop selling rock climbing thingy things on your left.. then you will pass by 3JC Restaurant which is on your right.. and just follow along the road which will also leads you to the One World Hotel..

The food was not too bad.. mainly they have all meats.. so for any herbivorous or omnivorous species.. I don't think this is the right place for you.. So only carnivorous like me will enjoy it.. cos I hate eating veges.. haha.. the price range is below RM 30 per pax.. but there's one stupid thing.. the drink charges are excluded from the buffet fee.. I've got to say that the meat tasted really good.. the marination was yummy.. all the meat initially were marinated with oil.. so when you fry it, there's no necessity of putting any oil in again.. the service was good too.. once your pan starts to turn sticky.. you can just ask any of the workers to change it for you..

The Seoul Garden..

Mum Mum time!

All sorts of Chicken marination..

Some seafood as well..

My sis was hungry.. and she wanted to savour Zac instead..

Baby, his prawn.. and me.. =)

My cousin Amanda and her bf..

My parents, my aunt and my cousin..

Happy Belated Birthday Aunt Melanie!

Why Oh Why?

why Michael Johns is eliminated from American Idol?

but why is Kristy Lee Cook still inside?

and why is Fiqa eliminated from Malaysian Dream Girl?

but Cindy is still in the competition?

argh.. this is what happens to voting system.. the unwanted ones are always the ones that last longer in the competition.. but the wanted ones always end ups first.. but their also the most capable and potential ones.. God, now I'm just hating to watch American Idol without Michael Johns but I still have to bear looking at Kristy Lee Cook.. and I'm also hating to watch Malaysian Dream Girl without Fiqa but I still have to bear looking at Cindy in it.. what up with world??

banned.. banned.. banned the voting system!!!

Shisha in the house..

been really busy with assignments lately.. thanks to me who has been procrastinating after the interim cut presentation.. thanks to such good and supportive lecturers who gave comments.. seriously hating most of KBU's IAD lecturers.. anyway, to due to such stress-ness baby decided to invent his own Shisha bottle.. though it might look unrepresentable.. but it definitely works.. cool eh?

his Shisha bottle invention..

preparing the foil for the paste..

putting the paste onto the foil..

the paste ready to be smoked..

we had the grape flavour..

the donkey preparing the charcoal..

charcoal on the foil..

and now the donkey smoking it away..

and eugene smoking it too..

P/S: Due to some circumstances.. names has been censored.. cos these people wants to keep their so-called reputation at work.. LOL.. but I did censored already what.. though it might still be readable to most of you.. haha.. oooopppsss..

Trip to Zoo Negara..

Weeeee... Weeeee.. I'm such a happy girl today.. I finally get to visit Zoo Negara again.. *smiles widely* been bugging baby to bring me go.. but he kept telling me that the animals there are all either dead or half alive.. and today, I get to justified that the animals there are not even dead or half alive.. somehow most of it still looks very good and healthy.. only some were really skinny.. the place was not bad as before.. the only negativity is there's tons of mosquitoes there!!! I know, which Zoo is mosquito free right? but at least its much cleaner and less smellier than what I can remember.. thou, I was bitten up by the mosquitoes like hell.. but I enjoy the whole trip and I get to take heaps of photographs.. hence, today's post is gonna be filled with pictures.. do enjoy! =)

entrance to Zoo Negara..

don't know what glass house..

once we entered, we spotted 2 monkeys on the loose!

which animal to visit first?

4 of them choose their own 'home' to visit..

me with the camel..

and then to the Ape Center..

see no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil..

Tiffany, Me & Jacinta in the Ape Centre..

I only took pictures of healthy and fat looking animals.. cos the rest were pretty skinny and not so handsome or pretty looking.. so after all the pictures of the animals.. I decided to scout around looking for some handsome or pretty flowers and plants..

white spider lily..

Malaysian Dreamgirl..

Finally, its time for me to post a little bit about the Malaysian Dreamgirl.. it is a new program which is not available on TV.. but only available online.. by looking at it's title many of you will roughly know what it is all about.. it is just exactly the same as American Next Top Model.. but thank god the whoever producer was smart enough to name it Malaysian Dreamgirl instead of Malaysian Next Top Model.. LOL.. so in this Malaysian Dreamgirl of course they look for the so called top model la.. but I tell you, out of the 12 finalist girls.. not even a handful mirrors a top model.. all the tall tall and pretty pretty leng luis with chun chun bodies that I have seen outside also none of them was in.. where all the leng luis went???

Anyhow, since Malaysia is just too good with copying almost everything.. I will just have to let them be.. but if you really wanna be a copy cat.. then at least be a better or the best copy cat of all.. the filming crew who film the entire journey of Malaysia Dreamgirl really sucks.. the camera man sucks so badly in it.. you guys should watch all the episodes and then judge it for yourself.. especially there's one episode where the girls were doing the fashion show in 1 Utama.. the way it was film can really drives you insane.. and I felt like puking after that.. much more like watching The Cloverfield.. but in Malaysia, it's better off known as The Clover-Padang.. LOFL.. when the girls walks on the runway, the camera man starts to spin and turn like a roller-coaster..

If you people has been watching American Next Top Model.. you will realize that each of the girls will have a speaker clip on to them when their in their house.. the purpose is that whatever that they speak, the audience will be able to hear them clearly.. but for Malaysian Dreamgirl, apa pun tak da.. some of the episodes I can't even hear what their mumbling about.. and not to forget, the first elimination episode.. It was so bad.. so bad till I muted it and only depend by looking at their gestures.. it was fully recorded with echo.. so echo-ish till I don't even bother to listen more.. and thank god, that was improved in the second elimination episode..

And.. instead of copying everything and anything.. they were smart enough that they did not put in a comment page or a comment box on their websites.. this one no need to say also we know why lor.. if not I think by now that comment page or box will definitely be flooded with people like me complaining about almost everything.. so that's a good point that they consider to ignore that particular page.. so enough of reading so much words.. let's move on to commenting about some of the girls..

First is Ringo but she's better known as Cheesie from Cheeserland.. she was not chosen for the Top 12 finalist.. and then she was called back cos one of the girls decided to give up her place due to some unforeseen circumstances.. but of all the girls, why was she called back? I think its because Malaysian Dreamgirl wants to use her as part of the publicity knowing that she's a famous blogger.. it's damn obvious also what.. but Ringo certainly has some talents.. I really like the Women's Secret shoot of her.. but she really have to work out more on her runway.. either way, she has a good personality and she doesn't slang like somebody does in front of the camera.. so go Cheesie!

Next is Adeline.. she was the first girl who got through during the auditions.. she does have some model quality in her.. especially her height and her cool looking face.. but after a while, I got bored of her.. cos she doesn't talk much (even during interviews) and she looks very dunggul and blur all the time.. and all her photos only have one expression.. which is the cool look.. but thank god, after watching her in Episode 8.. I think she's starting to adapt and there's some changes in her.. she starts to talk more and smile more often.. and she really look good when she smile.. =)

And then its Jay.. and I think of all the girls, she certainly have some good potentials in her.. she's got the heights and looks.. and just look at her legs.. damn chun and long wei.. she can portray herself in many different types of looks.. she can be cool looking, seductive and also a very manly with full of intense look in her Precinct photos.. she's certainly very versatile.. but by looking at the Malaysians, I don't think she will be the winner.. you know how Malaysians always vote for the looks and not qualities.. geess, wasted..

This is one of my favourite.. and her name is Fiqa.. amongst all of the girls, she the only one with a really proportionate body.. I like her body cos she not that thin till there's only the skin wrapping her up.. and she's not fat either.. she's just the right size for a Malaysian girl.. she has a very bubbly character.. she speaks well and I like her personality.. and I think she make over suits her.. she look much more better this way.. and you people must watch her in Episode 7
bitching about someone who deserves to be bitch about.. Sleek chic..

Finally, the moment that you have been waiting for.. is time to bitch about CINDY!!! haha.. before you guys continue reading about her.. you should watch all the parts in Episode 7.. and then you all will agree with whatever that I am going to say about her.. first and foremost, I didn't like her the first time I saw her in the auditions.. she was wearing a bare back dress which I think it is just too much and not proper thing to wear to an audition.. but somehow, Mr. Kenny Sia said he liked her and she's sexy.. see Kenny, its all your fault now..

alright, let's just move on.. Cindy has a very fake accent.. it's not just me who realize it okay.. many of the girls in Malaysian Dreamgirl also says the same thing.. even ShaolinTiger also said that.. I just find her so bitchy and I hate the way she talks in front of the camera.. a slang accent will not make you a good model if you don't have the qualities.. and I hate it when she cries like there's no tomorrow in front of camera.. even her dad is said that she's crying too much.. and in Episode 8, she declare that she will not cry anymore.. we shall see then.. haha..

phewww.. this is definitely a lengthy post.. my fingers are so tired now.. so that's all and I will be back with more Malaysian Dreamgirl parables!

Baby's Birthday part III...

yes yes.. its another post on my baby's 25th birthday.. I know he's getting old.. hence, I need to keep on posting and posting about his birthday.. muahaha.. I am such an evil gf.. anyhow, this post will be his third time celebrating his birthday this year.. damn lucky right? damn lucky also to have a gf like me.. =) so today's celebration was held at his place.. with his family and relatives.. not to forget delicious home cooked food and also home made Taiping style pohpiah.. (please continue reading for the home made pohpiah tutorials)

I love this picture!

smiling widely for the camera..

blowing off the candles..

so as I have said.. here are some of the steps to make a home made yummy-licious pohpiah.. to start it off.. the most important ingredients of all (besides the skin) is the mengkuang.. I can't recall what it is called in English.. so I'll just call it mengkuang for now.. it has to be well cooked till it's soft but not over done.. and it definitely has to be sweet and juicy.. =)

'mengkuang'..

Step 1:
Spread the skin evenly onto a flat surface..

Step 2:
Spread sweet sauce and chili sauce evenly onto the top half..

Step 3:
Lay down 2-3 pieces of cabbage leaves onto the bottom part..

Step 4:
Spread some bean sprouts on top of the cabbage..

Step 5:
Spread some cooked eggs on top of the bean sprouts..

Step 6:
Add in some 'mengkuang' on top of the eggs..

Step 7:
Lastly, add in some fried onions and roll it up..

Ta-Daaaa!!!
Cut it into 4 pieces and it is ready to be served..

alright.. that's all for baby's birthday.. I hope I won't be posting anything more about that.. cos the next post.. I definitely need to talk about Malaysian Dream Girls.. and before I forget.. Happy 14th Month Anniversary to my Baby.. he totally forgotten about it.. but since it's his birthday.. so I'll just forgive him.. hmmphh! no more excuses for the next time..

Happy 25th Birthday to my Baby! ♥

birthday surprise in Baby's office..

the silly donkey and his cake..

another surprise for him in my room..

On Sunday, me and baby actually pre-celebrated his birthday at Jake's Charbroil Steakhouse.. he's always been a steak lover.. hence, I did alot of research and found out about this place.. Jake's located at Medan Damansara.. right next to the Victoria Station.. the address is:

21 Jalan Setiapuspa,
Medan Damansara,
50490 Kuala Lumpur.
Tel: 03-2094 5677, Fax: 03-2092 2894.

and they also have another outlet in Starhill.. but we were too lazy to go all the way there.. hence, we chose to dine in at the Damansara outlet.. the food was good.. the steak taste very much different then those we had elsewhere.. Baby had the Australia Rib-Eye.. it was all juicy and yummy.. and I had the Jake's Charbroil Chicken.. the chicken was a little dry.. not too yummy as the beef.. their oxtail soup was very yummy too..

Jake's Charbroil Steakhouse..

the interior was really cozy..
